Boys Sports
Elementary Basketball
This group is coached by Jaime Reed. Elementary basketball is a great opportunity for your son to learn the basics of basketball, while competing against other area schools. Columbus Christian is competitive against these other schools and even have a state championship. One of the big tournaments that they play in is the Crusader Classic which is held in January every year.
Junior High Basketball
To continue the learning experience, the Junior High program is an excellent step up from Elementary basketball on the way to the Junior Varsity and Varsity programs at Columbus Christian. The competition continues to get stronger at this level as one would expect. The Junior High also participates in the Crusader Classic held in January.
Junior Varsity Basketball
The Junior Varsity program and the Varsity program work very closely together, not only in practice but in personnel. Expectations continue to grow for the boys knowledge in the game. Competition is faster and better, as the Junior Varsity not only plays area Christian schools, but also play against IHSAA schools like Medora, Cannelton, and Herron, just to name a few.
Varsity Basketball
Coached by Kevin Roth, the Varsity Basketball program has been very successful over the past several years. Coach Roth has led the team to numerous Final Four appearances, a few State Runner Up, and also brought the 2003 State Championship to Columbus Christian School. In fact that was the first basketball state championship in Bartholomew County. On top of that, the varsity basketball team has traveled to Dayton, Tennessee the past two seasons to participate in the National Association of Christian Athletes National Tournament, finishing 6th in 2010 and finishing 3rd in 2011.
