SCRIP Program

SCRIP is a term that means "substitute money". When school families purchase SCRIP, they are purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. SCRIP is issued by national and local retailers at a discount off the face value of the certificate. The SCRIP is then sold to the families at full face value, thus generating revenue. All profit is divided equally between CCS and the family purchasing SCRIP, (in the form of a tuition credit).
