Abby Perdok graduated with a B.S. in Education with an emphasis on Math, Language Arts, and Middle Level Education from Central Michigan University in
2006. She is also pursuing her Masters Degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has been teaching 5th grade
at Columbus Christian School since the fall of 2006. Mrs. Perdok co-manages the CCS after care program, is the administrator
of the Accelerated Reader program, and was awarded the Heritage Family Award for Excellence in Teaching in the fall of 2008. Mrs. Perdok lives in Columbus with her husband, Andy, and Bloodhound Sophie. In her spare time she likes to read, camp, shop,
and enjoy the outdoors.

Fifth Grade:
Furthering Goals through Academic Excellence
Fifth grade is yet another time of transition, where students learn
to be more independent. Homework is increased as students begin to prepare for their last years in elementary. They are
encouraged to begin daily study and reading habits as the children are asked to take more responsibility for their academic studies.
